The manager app and the tenant app: who uses which, what each can do, and how access is granted.

Two apps, two audiences

The manager app
Built for the parts of the job done while standing in a building: entering readings floor by floor, recording a payment at the door, closing a task with a photo.
- Sign in with the same account as the web application.
- It follows the same permissions and building scope — see Users.
- Readings entered here still respect the approval setting in General settings.
The tenant app
Tenants sign in with the phone number on their tenant record, so that field has to be correct before you invite them.
- They see their own invoices, payment history and notices.
- Incidents they report arrive as tasks.
- Tasks marked visible to the tenant let them follow progress.
Tenants never see other tenants, other rooms or any report. Giving app access is not a way to share building information with them.
Getting tenants onto the app is the cheapest way to cut "how much do I owe" messages.
