Repair history
Every repair raised against an asset, what it cost and who did it.

What lands here
Go to Settings → Operations setup → Assets → Repair history. Repairs closed from tasks are recorded against the asset with their cost and supplier. Nothing needs to be entered twice.
Repair or replace
Compare accumulated repair cost against the asset's purchase price. Once the running total passes the price of a new one, the argument is over — and this report is what makes it a fact rather than an opinion.
Close tasks with their real cost, including labour. A repair history showing only parts understates the case for replacement.
