Asset types

1. Create a type#

1. Open the form

   Go to Settings → Operations setup → Assets → Asset types and press (+).

2. Fill in the fields

   Campo	Obligatorio	Descripción
   Name	Sí	Maximum 255 characters, e.g. "Air conditioner", "Water heater".
   Note	No	Expected lifespan, service interval, anything that helps plan replacement.

Asset type is a required field when registering an asset, so create the types first.

2. Choosing the granularity#

Keep the list at the level you would actually buy a replacement at. "Appliance" is too broad to plan from; the exact model belongs on the asset record, not the type.
