What lives here
Go to Settings → Operations setup → Reference lists. Short controlled lists used across screens: lead sources, room types, cancellation reasons, contact numbers and similar.
They exist so people pick from a list instead of typing free text nobody can report on. A lead source is only useful as a report if everyone spells it the same way.
Maintaining them
Review them once a quarter. Lists grow quietly, and a picker with forty options is one people scroll past rather than read.
Removing an entry does not change records that already use it. It only stops it being chosen again.
